It’s Friday, the first of May, wrapping up the first week of action for The Chicago Dugout Morning Show! Austin Bloomberg and Ben Denen return to discuss a variety of league-wide topics, including:

  • Why it’s foolish to place an asterisk next to whatever the 2020 MLB season looks like.
  • The growing concern over labor relations between the Umpire’s Union and Major League Baseball.
  • How the 2020 season will usher in the Universal DH and the electronic strike zone.
  • Why the subjectivity of an Umpire’s strike zone carries sentimental attachment, and how the league gets it wrong employing technology to aid umpires.

We will return on Monday, May 4. Have a safe weekend, and we’ll see you next week!
