After the news came out that Theo Epstein was resigning his position as President of Baseball Operations after nine incredible years with the Chicago Cubs, we at the Northside Show decided that it was only fitting to create a special podcast. To many it may seemingly go without saying that Epstein changed these lovable losers into champions, but in our culture that seems to adore recency bias, it can be easy to forget all that Theo has done for this franchise.
In this weeks episode, Northside Show host Benjamin J. Denen was joined by special guest, Randall J. Sanders. We remembered trades and signings that elevated the franchise as well as the few that didn’t work out. Most of all, we discussed what Theo Epstein has meant to Chicago Cubs fans.
